Robbie van Herwerden, legal research assistant
Robbie van Herwerden is currently in the final phase of her law studies at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. There she also has attended the minor called Working in an International Legal Environment. Her secondary activities include being a member of the Study Program Committee and having a seat on the Examination Appeals Board.
During her studies, she has done a work experience internship at Privacy First. Now she is a part-time employee of Privacy First, mainly carrying out legal analyses of, among other things, legislative proposals, case law, laws and regulations. Furthermore, she supports the Privacy First Director of Operations in his day to day activities. In addition, she is writing her graduation thesis at Privacy First about the Control of Human Tissue Act, as of now a legislative proposal.
Robbie has been committed to civil rights for years, both outside and inside of the parliamentary system. She was the cofounder of a local political party in Haarlem, which at present has two seats on the municipal council. She used to work as a volunteer in the party leadership.
